Canelo Alvarez UK fight time: Start time and ring walks for Dmitry Bivol fight

Canelo Alvarez will challenge to become two-time light-heavyweight champion this weekend when he takes on Dmitry Bivol in Las Vegas.

Boxing's leading star will make his latest bow for the first time since making history and becoming undisputed champion at 168lbs with victory over Caleb Plant. He will make a step-up to 175lbs for the second time after previously knocking out Sergey Kovalev to become champion in the division back in 2020.

A victory for Alvarez is likely to set up a trilogy clash with two-time rival Gennady Golovkin in September, after the Mexican signed a two-fight deal with Matchroom Boxing promoter Eddie Hearn.

Bivol remains undefeated in his professional career and will put his WBA world title on the line. The Russian star is a familiar face on domestic shores having successfully negotiated the test of Craig Richards in Manchester last year.

Here is all you need to know ahead of Alvarez's latest ring appearance...

UK fight start time

Alvarez and Bivol are expected to make their ring walks at around 5am UK time in the early hours of Sunday May 8 with the main card set to get underway at 1am.

The main event will then proceed to begin at around 5:15am but will depend on the duration of the undercard bouts and the ring walks.
