Saul “Canelo” Alvarez set up a super-fight against Terence Crawford after he regained the undisputed super-middleweight title with a unanimous decision win over William Scull.
Alvarez beat Scull 115-113, 116-112, 119-109 on the scorecards and will face Crawford in Las Vegas in September.
Scull, who had an advantage in height and reach over Alvarez, was unable to find an answer to his methodical stalking and effective body blows.
“It was a boring fight,” said Alvarez. “(Scull was) not trying to win, just trying to survive. I hate these kinds of fights.”

Alvarez and Crawford will meet at the 65,000-seater Allegiant Stadium on September 12.
Crawford is a four-division and two-weight undisputed champion but will be moving up from light-middleweight.
Alvarez said he was looking forward to returning to the ring against undefeated Crawford.
“Crawford is one of the best out there, I like to share the ring with that kind of a fighter. It's my pleasure,” he said.
Crawford, who became the undisputed welterweight champion with a knockout win over Errol Spence Jr in 2023, said he was ready to take on Alvarez as they faced off in the ring after the Scull fight.
“In September I'll show the world what greatness looks like,” Crawford said.
