Canelo Alvarez's completely different opinions of Conor McGregor and Katie Taylor

Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez has offered his two totally different opinions of Katie Taylor and Conor McGregor.

The Mexican, who fights Caleb Plant to unify the super middleweight titles tonight, has made it clear that he's not a fan of McGregor in a recent interview.

In an interview with BT Sport, Alvarez was shown pictures of sports stars including Cristiano Ronaldo, Tyson Fury as well as the Irish duo.

And it's obvious that Canelo has plenty of respect for undisputed female lightweight champ Taylor, with the 31-year-old looking to become the first-ever undisputed champion in his weight class.

"She's a really good fighter, I love watching her fight," Canelo said when shown a picture of Taylor.

But despite the glowing endorsement of the Bray boxer, Canelo wasn't quite as impressed when shown McGregor's picture.

"No try, man. Don't try," he said when the presenter noted that McGregor has been trying to work a fight between the pair for some time.

He said of Fury: "He's a good boxer, really good. He has a lot of skills." Alvarez also praised Fury for recovering from two knockdowns to stop Wilder for the second time.

And he added of Joshua: "Really nice guy, he's a good boxer. He has a lot of skills, he's a good guy."

Joshua toured several American gyms last month amid calls for the former champion to sack his coaching team after his defeat to Usyk.

One of which was Eddie Reynoso’s gym in San Diego, California, who is Alvarez's longtime trainer.

Joshua is expected to rematch Usyk next spring and has stated he will still work with longtime trainer Rob McCracken unless the coach doesn't want to.
