Candy King is now half price at Tesco - just in time for half term

As parents and kids all over the country prepare for half term, Tesco has decided to start celebrating early, by slashing the price of their pick and mix sweets in half.

That means that you can now get a medium cup of the tasty sweets for just £1.50, instead of the usual £3.

Sadly it looks as if the half price deal only works on the medium cup, and doesn't include any other sizes, meaning that if you don't opt for a medium portion, the same sweets will still set you back 85p per 100g in bag form, or £4 for a large cup.

Taking a leaf out of Wilko's book - who often discount their pick and mix alongside the school break - the offer was originally spotted by sweet-toothed fans on the Facebook page Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK, after one eagle-eyed shoppers shared a photo online.

In the offer you can cram your cup full of as many pick and mix sweets as possible, choosing from an array of different options including sour, chewy and hard.

There's no word on when the offer will last until, but it should be available in Tesco branches across the country that already have a Candy King section in their store.

The post has already racked up over 1,000 comments from excited fans, with one user named Vikki Freeland saying "Tesco trip soon", whilst another named Thomas Coleman said "Better than the £17 we spent in the cinema!".
