Candlestick Chronicles: Revisiting 49ers-Seahawks rivalry ahead of Week 10 matchup

The 49ers and Seahawks in Week 10 will play their most consequential matchup since Thanksgiving of the 2014 season.

That was the year the Seahawks beat the 49ers at Levi’s Stadium, and Richard Sherman and Russell Wilson ate turkey on the 50-yard line. It was also the night the once powerful NFC West rivalry ended.

It was dormant for awhile, but Week 10’s Monday night showdown at Levi’s Stadium is a chance to rekindle the rivalry that dominated the NFL between 2012 and 2014. The 49ers are undefeated and lead the NFC West. The Seahawks are the second-place team in the division.
