Candice Brown's 'love rival' says she had 'nothing to do with' marriage split

The woman accused of breaking up Candice Brown 's marriage has insisted she was not involved in the couple's split.

Last month, The Mirror exclusively revealed the Bake Off star, 35, had split from her husband Liam Macaulay and he'd moved out of the pub where they lived.

Liam, 33, was later pictured on holiday with Micah Taffuerelli, 28, and she's now spoken out to dismiss any rumours she was involved in the breakdown of the marriage.

Micah says she met Liam on a dating site in April - months after the pair had parted ways - and she's "mortified" by suggestions she was a "homewrecker".

Speaking to The Sun, she explained: "Liam and Candice broke up at the start of the year and I met him on a dating website in April.

"Liam and Candice had been over for a long time before we got together.

“But the way she announced the split made me look like a homewrecker because Liam and I were on holiday.

"I was mortified to see I’d been caught up in it when it was genuinely nothing to do with me."

Micah and Liam have since split, and she's insisted she knows very little about the breakdown of his marriage because he rarely talked about it.

She said all she knew is that the couple had parted ways at the start of the year and Liam told her they were in the process if getting a divorce by the time they met.

Candice and Liam had been together since 2012 and married at a French chateau in 2018 before renewing their wedding vows in Thailand a year later.

After The Mirror confirmed the split, Liam later spoke out to insist there were no third parties involved.

He told the Mail Online: "There was nobody else involved. We have just sadly decided it wasn't working."
