Candice Brown rushed to hospital following 'massive prolonged' asthma attack

Candice Brown has been rushed to hospital following a "massive prolonged" asthma attack.

The Great British Bake Off star had to be given steroids after she was checked over by medical professionals.

Talented cook Candice, 36, shared the update with her fans on her Instagram Stories on Saturday.

“My body clearly started fighting a cold and cough in a weird, s**t way and gave me a massive, prolonged asthma attack," she told.

“I’ve been pumped full of steroids. I have new inhalers. I feel like I’ve been dug up, look like I’ve been dug up and sound like Bane, but I’m alright.

“Anxiety and phobia hasn’t helped. Also I can breathe, which at about 6am this morning I couldn’t speak two words.”

Due to the hospital dash, Candice had to drop out of attending Tom Kerridge’s Pub in the Park festival in Warwick.

Candice recently told how it's been hard for her after her marriage broke down.

The Great British Bake Off 2016 winner spoke about the painful year following her split from her husband Liam Macaulay on The Burn Chef Journal podcast.

"I had a very difficult year last year — the hardest of my life. How the f*** I’m still going, I don’t know.

"But it was just a lot to take in, a lot to deal with," she shared.

Candice and Liam were married in 2018 but their relationship sadly did not last.

During her relationship, Candice had a cheeky kiss with Paul Hollywood.

Previously, Liam admitted the kiss had put their relationship under great strain before they split.

He said in July last year: “I’d not long asked Candice to marry me and I had to read reports that my new fiancée was seen kissing Hollywood.

“That was just a kiss on her cheek and there was nothing else to it. But we had only been engaged a few days. It was a lot to have to deal with.”

He told the Daily Mail: “There is nobody else involved. We have just sadly decided it wasn’t working."

2020 was incredibly hard for the TV personality especially as she had to close her pub during the gruelling lockdowns in the UK amid the coronavirus pandemic.
