She said Laura Loomer had gone on what she described as a “racist rant,” and soon after that, Trump posted a message that supported Loomer on Truth Social. Owens said this did not seem normal to her. She shared what she had heard from sources, saying:
“She was going on an unhinged racist rant, and then she was able to make a demand that the President of the United States issue a Truth Social supporting her mania. It was a demand I was told that Susie Wiles was opposed to… and yet, Trump’s team overall conceded. The question is, why? That’s a very important question.” From there, Owens gave her own theory. She said there has been a long-running rumor that Loomer might have blackmail material involving Trump. She explained it in her own words:
“There has been a very long standing rumor that it’s because she has blackmail on him… it has something to do with her having relations that she went onto Air Force One years ago, as we all knew. And then began telling people that she had relations with Donald Trump.” Even while saying this, Owens admitted she is not fully convinced the rumor is true. But she still believes Loomer may be using pressure tactics. She added:
“Do I believe what she’s going to allege, what they’re afraid of? Probably not, if I’m being honest. But is she now threatening them into compliance, or she will make his life a living hell… Probably. They probably just don’t want to deal with Loomer.”
Owens also told her viewers to be careful about anything coming from Loomer. She warned them not to take her claims seriously without thinking. This situation became even more heated on April 29. Laura Loomer shared what looked like a mugshot of George Farmer online and questioned Owens directly. In her post, Loomer wrote:
“Candace, do you want to explain this to your audience? Or should I? Last week you said you had nothing to hide!”
