Health professionals from across West Lothian came together at a cancer support and information event hosted by Macmillan Cancer Support.
The event at Blackburn Partnership Centre saw a series of presentations take place to allow health professionals to find out more about local services available to provide extra help for their patients and those close to them.
Highlights included patients’ digital stories about their experience of cancer and how it has impacted on them.
A variety of organisations also had stalls at the event.
Senior development worker Joanne MacKenzie said: “This was a fantastic event which showed just how much support is available to people affected by cancer in West Lothian.
“It was a great opportunity for workers from NHS, West Lothian Council and charities to come together and find out how we can work in partnership to ensure that patients and service users can get the right help at the right time.”
