Cancellations and delays expected on Valley line trains due to signalling fault

Train commuters could see trains cancelled and delayed in the Valleys this morning due to a signalling fault.

Transport for Wales confirmed on Monday (July 12) morning that, due to a fault with the signalling system at Abercynon, all lines are currently blocked in the area. Train services through the station may be subject to disruption on all routes until around 10am.

The transport provider said some services may be cancelled or delayed by up to 30 minutes.

Due to the issue temporary buses have been requested to run between Aberdare / Merthyr Tydfil and Pontypridd.

Customers are advised to check their journeys before travelling.
