As the weather warms up and Canberrans seek the sun, the chief health officer has warned people not to get complacent about the risk of COVID-19.
It came as the ACT reported another 24 hours without a new coronavirus case and tests surpassed 77,450.
Chief health officer Kerryn Coleman said good hygiene and physical distancing were crucial as the community got outside, particularly in the sharing of playground and exercise equipment.
"I would like to thank everyone for their hard work in following the health advice, which has seen us with no cases for more than 50 days, but now is not the time to be complacent," Dr Coleman said.
"Physical distancing and personal hygiene will be more important than ever as we move around more, seek the sun and share playgrounds, outdoor fitness stations and barbecues.
"Remember that despite the encouraging position of the ACT, we do not exist in a vacuum, with people visiting from interstate and Canberrans still travelling. The situation can change quickly, both in the ACT and in our neighbouring jurisdictions."
Dr Coleman urged ACT resident to take responsibility by washing and sanitising their hands before and after using public equipment and keeping a 1.5 metre distance from others.
"If facilities are busy or there is a large crowd, please consider coming back another time or finding somewhere quieter," she said.
