A Canberra woman has appeared in the ACT Magistrates Court, charged with ram-raiding a coffee shop in an alleged aggravated armed robbery.

Jennifer Hanson, 27, was vocal and visibly distressed when she appeared via videolink in court on Saturday, accused of taking part in the robbery at Coffee Guru in Casey, in Canberra's far north, with two others about 4am on Friday.

It was alleged a stolen vehicle was used to carry out the ram-raid, with the car later being found, burnt out, across the border in the New South Wales regional town of Sutton.

Ms Hanson was arrested at her Moncrieff home in Canberra's north on Friday.

In court, the woman sobbed loudly and repeatedly interjected while her Legal Aid defence lawyer, Hugh Jorgensen, made a case in support of her bail application.

"I just met this lawyer," Ms Hanson said.

"Can I at least talk to an actual lawyer?"

She repeatedly threw her hands in the air throughout the hearing and cried, "No, no, no" multiple times.

Mr Jorgensen argued the woman should be released into the community ahead of her next court appearance as she was a single mother whose eight-year-old child relied on her care.

Magistrate Peter Morrison asked Mr Jorgensen whether someone was currently looking after the child.

Mr Jorgensen replied that he believed the child was with a grandparent.

Magistrate Morrison refused the woman's request for bail and said he was satisfied the child was being taken care of during her absence.

It was then that Ms Hanson again protested.

She proceeded to speak over the top of Magistrate Morrison, accusing her arresting officers of breaking and entering when they came to arrest her.

"The police went into my home yesterday. They didn't even have a warrant. They broke in through the garage," Ms Hanson said.

The matter ended and the woman's audio was muted as she continued to interject.

She was told her next court appearance would be on Thursday, December 16, when she will also face one count of unauthorised possession of a firearm related to a search of her home in September.
