Two pop-up Pfizer vaccination clinics have closed to walk-ins on Wednesday.
The clinic at Gungahlin town centre on Gungahlin Place and the Turner Scout Hall clinic at 5 Masson Street are both turning away new patients.
ACT Deputy Chief Health Officer Vanessa Johnston said people should not be going to pop-up clinics unless they could not access another clinic, or get a vaccine through a GP or pharmacist.
"Don't go to the pop up clinics. [They] are specifically tailored for people who ... don't have the means to get a vaccine at the main clinics," Dr Johnson said.
The Belconnen clinic, located at West Belconnen Child and Family Centre at 6 Luke Street in Holt will open on Thursday, between 12pm and 6.30pm.
On Sunday, the recommended waiting time for a booster shot was brought forward from six to five months after a second dose. This has caused general practitioners and pharmacies to struggle with vaccine stock, as more Canberrans try and get their boosters in before Christmas.
The Tuggeranong Community Health Centre clinic at the corner of Anketell Street and Pitman Street in Greenway will open on Friday from 12pm to 6.30pm.
Canberrans can also book into the AIS Arena clinic or Access and Sensory clinic for a vaccine shot, including third shots or boosters. ACT Health said there are still spots available at both clinics.
Boosters are also available at some GP clinics and pharmacies. Make a booking at covid-vaccine.healthdirect.gov.au/booking.
ACT Health said as of December 13, 6.9 per cent of ACT residents aged 18 and over had received a third vaccine dose. That totalled 23,894 vaccines.
