Anyone entering the ACT from the Orange, Blayney or Cabonne Shire Council areas from midnight on Wednesday night will be subject to stay-at-home requirements.

They will have to stay at home until at least midnight on Tuesday night, July 27.

Those council areas were placed under a seven-day lockdown from midnight on Tuesday, after a positive coronavirus test occurred in Blayney.

That infected person potentially exposed five different locations across Orange to the virus on July 16 and July 17.

Non-ACT residents who have been in Orange, Blayney or Cabonne Shire Council areas after Wednesday at 11.59pm must not cross the border without an approved exemption.

"Exemptions will only be granted for extraordinary circumstances," said ACT Health.

ACT residents must complete an online declaration form within 24 hours of the start of the travel restrictions.

Anyone who has been in those council areas on or after Wednesday, July 14, and who left prior to 11.59pm Wednesday July 21, is required to declare this using ACT Health's online declaration form.

The exemption and declaration forms will be available on the ACT COVID-19 website from 6pm.

For further information on the stay-at-home requirements, visit the ACT COVID-19 website.
