Five Canberra landmarks will light up in aqua on Monday night in celebration of hitting 80 per cent full vaccination rates for over 12s.

The Telstra Tower, National Carillion, Royal Australian Mint, Canberra Times Fountain and Old Parliament House will be glowing at dark on Monday, October 18.

The sun was due to set about 7.20pm, which was when the landmarks were expected to light up.

"We glow it to you for being one of the most COVID-19 vaccinated cities on the planet!" ACT Health posted on social media.

"Tonight all rays are on us as we amp up our city in 'vaccine aqua'. Watt an incredible feat!"
