Canberra restaurants are ready to feed us even as we're all heading into our snap seven-day lockdown.
Taking what they learned from the 2020 lockdown many Canberra venues have already transitioned to takeaway.
At Pilot in Ainslie Ross McQuinn said they had to laugh when they checked the store room and found takeaway containers left over from last year.
"I think we're not panicking quite so much this time around because we know what to expect," he said.
"We'll be focussing on dinner packs this week and then we'll see what happens, and knock on wood, see how long it might go for, and then we'll look at a full takeaway menu again."
Across Canberra venues have already shifted into takeaway menus, wine deliveries and other deals to keep you fed and watered.

Aubergine, Griffith
Welcome to Aubergine Bakery, selling fresh loaves and cultured butter for pick up. From Saturday, August 14, from 9.30 until sold out, bread, egg and bacon rolls on Three Mills sourdough, pastries and takeaway coffee.
Pilot, Ainslie
Pilot was closed on August 12 with dinner pack deliveries to start from August 13. All bookings until August 19, including the Pulp Returns pop-up have been cancelled at no charge.
Akiba, City
Akiba did $9000 worth of deliveries on the first night it went into takeaway zone in March 2020 before the computers shut down. And they'll be back this time, too. Pick up and free delivery with a 30km radius. From August 13.
Rizla, Braddon
Andy Day must have known something. He's been doing Rizla@home for a few weeks now. The takeaway menu ranges from kids meals to deluxe night in gift packs for two. Wine can be included.
No Biggie Meals, Canberra
One of the success stories of lockdown part one, was this ready-made meal service that supported local kitchens. Order by 4pm Friday for pick up on Sunday. Walt and Burley is the first kitchen on board with more to come online as needed.
Lazy Su, Braddon
Always hard to get a booking here so last time takeaway proved extra popular. From August 13, full takeaway menu available.
Rebel Rebel, New Acton
The produce store is back from 10am, August 13. Fresh produce, booze and toilet paper, as well as Moonlight Flat oysters shucked to order. The entire menu is available for takeaway as well as housemade pastries and ready-made meals made daily.
Mezzalira, City
Open for takeaway, every night but Sunday. Breads, pasta, mains, pizza and desserts. Daily specials too so keep an eye on socials
Temporada, City
Switching to Temporada@home with set menus for takeaway and limited delivery. Plenty of wine and drinks on offer as well.
The RUC, Turner
The RUC is open for takeaway, offering its full menu, beer, wine, and standard member specials to be picked up from the Club.
Inka, City
Ever changing menu available as takeaway, pick-up and delivery within 10km radius. Get in quick, as this one will be popular.
Intra, Campbell
Operating normal hours with the full menu available for takeaway. Best place for egg and bacon roll.
Paranormal Wines, Campbell
Operating as takeaway only, from 5pm. All bottles and snacks available.

Takeaway menu available. Can't beat the barbecued birds and a couple of salads.
Three Mills Bakery, Canberra

The restaurant is closed but enjoy The Italian Place at home, as the deli remains open for fresh pasta, groceries, vino and more.

Open 9am to 4pm every day for coffee, cake and full takeaway menu, as well as beer and wine.
Lake George Winery, Lake George

Amici Wine Bar and Deli, City
Open 4pm to 8pm for takeaway and delivery of pizza, platters, wine, meats and cheeses.

Full menu available for takeaway, from 4pm to 8pm.
Dosa Hut, City
The restaurant is under new management and Manjula and Nathaniel are switching to home delivery. They will deliver anywhere in Canberra, with a minimum order of $50 with $10 delivery fee.
