Canberra real estate agent Jason Roses has a new hit on his hands

Jason Roses has shown his entrepreneurial flair by coming up with a new oral healthcare range that is being stocked around Australia and will soon be launched overseas.

Born and raised in Canberra, Roses is owner of real estate agency Verve Property.

His new venture Zing Fresh has been keeping him even busier since it launched last year and - just this week - became available in Canberra pharmacies.

The range of seven "elevated" oral care products including breath spray, mouthwash and toothpaste will also soon be launched in New Zealand, the United States and Dubai.

It's something he's been working on for six years, one of the big distinguishing features of the range being its modern packaging, as well as its alcohol-free formulas.

"I saw a gap in the market because there's been a lot of players but no real reinvention, there's been no excitement about the category," he said.

"I thought, 'I want to create a bit of buzz and a bit of excitement, like there is in the skincare category'.

"I really wanted to have a brand that was beautifully aesthetic, particularly on people's bathroom countertops and something that people would love that matched with their skincare.

"And, obviously, really good quality products, we're Australian-made. The brand's ethos is, 'Your smile deserves better' so it's all about giving people confidence so they can look and feel their absolute best."

Zing Fresh officially launched last October, already featured in fashion bible, Marie Claire.

"Currently, we're in 26 pharmacies, we're about to expand into 100. We're heading to New Zealand, Dubai, America."

Zing Fresh also launched this week in Allure Pharmacy in the Canberra Centre.

"We're going to be launching in select pharmacies around Canberra including Priceline Canberra Centre and others," he said.

Roses, who is in his 30s, wants to build Zing Fresh into a global brand.

"I've got big ambitions for it," he said.

For now, Zing Fresh is Roses' baby that he wants to nurture for a little longer yet.

"I've also believed in taking risks and following your dream and where your heart goes," he said.

"I'm very fortunate I do still sell quite a bit of real estate in Canberra but I'm also focused on growing Zing as a national and global brand.

"I've been approached by a private equity firms [to sell] and I would but there's a certain aspirational figure that I would love to sell it to. It's going to take a few more years or hard work and grind."
