Canberra man dead after motorcycle crash

A Canberra man has died following a motorcycle crash north of the ACT on Sunday.

A crime scene has been established at Cullulla Rd, Lower Boro, after emergency services were called to the single-vehicle crash about 10.30am.

The 40-year-old man had been travelling with a group of five motorcyclists when he left the road and crashed into a tree.

Acting Inspector Matthew Carroll said one of the motorcylists found the man, who had crashed and started administering first aid.

Paramedics and a rescue helicopter were called to the incident, where they provided first aid but were unable to revive the man. He died at the scene.

The road was closed for several hours as police conducted an investigation.

Acting Inspector Carroll said the motorcyclists were assisting police with their inquiries.

Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash. A report will be prepared for the coroner.

Anyone with information about this incident is urged to contact Crime Stoppers: 1800 333 000 or https://nsw.crimestoppers.com.au.
