Police issued 101 infringement notices to drivers over the Canberra Day weekend.
Among those caught flouting traffic rules were a 19-year-old man found driving while suspended and a 20-year-old woman who will face ACT Magistrates Court over multiple offences.
The 19-year-old man from Stirling was stopped on Northbourne Avenue at 12.55am on Saturday after police noticed he was driving his BMW without headlights turned on.
The man returned a blood alcohol reading of 0.059, and further investigations found his licence was suspended in December 2020.
The driver's suspension has been extended by 90 days.
He was charged with multiple traffic offences, including drink driving, driving while suspended, driving without registration, driving without headlights on, not displaying L Plates and driving unaccompanied.
At 11pm on Saturday, police observed a red hatchback speeding on the Tuggeranong Parkway at Kambah.
When the car reached the Glenloch Interchange police recorded the 20-year-old Gordon woman driving at 149km/h in a 90km/h zone.
The woman was found with a blood alcohol reading of 0.161.
The woman was released from custody after being charged with drink driving, driving under the influence, and aggravated dangerous driving.
The woman was arrested again at 1.15am on Sunday following reports of a fight at a Civic night club.
She received further charges, including failing to comply with an exclusion direction, possession of a drug of dependence and resisting a Territory public official.
The woman will face the ACT Magistrates Court in April.
