The ACT's energy retailer is preparing to split up its teams and send staff to separate offices in a bid to safeguard its operations from coronavirus.
ActewAGL is among the Canberra businesses which are re-jigging their workplace arrangements in response to COVID-19.
There was still only one confirmed case of the virus in the ACT as of 5pm on Sunday. However, authorities are guaranteeing that more will emerge.
A company spokeswoman said its retail division would be split in two teams, with one group to work from ActewAGL House in civic and the other to work out of their premise in Fyshwick. Similar plans are in train for the company's payroll and finance teams.
It was also limiting staff access to "critical areas" of the business and exploring options to rotate Evoenergy's field crews.
"We are monitoring the situation closely and taking an informed and measured approach as things unfold," the spokeswoman said.
"Our clear focus is on all possible steps we can take to ensure services for our customers and community will be maintained should the virus impact our business."
Canberra Business Chamber interim chief executive Graham Catt said businesses were taking a range of proactive measures to limit employees' potential exposure to the virus.

These included holding video conferences, rather than meeting in person, and limiting the number of staff who traveled together on business trips.
Mr Catt said the peak body was offering two pieces of advice to businesses during the rapidly evolving health emergency.
"First of all, focus on authoritative sources of information, health authorities and government information - but don't be distracted with what is said on social media," he said.
"And the second is to take that information."
