Canadian TV host Dan O’Toole's baby 'found safe and well with mum' after kidnap fears

A Canadian sports broadcaster's one-month-old baby has reportedly been found safe and well after he said she had been abducted.

Sports Centre host Dan O'Toole took to Instagram on Thursday evening to announce baby daughter Oakland - who he shares with Corrie O'Toole - was missing but added she "is alive, we think".

The 44-year-old popular sports anchor and graduate of Algonquin College pleaded with the alleged kidnappers to let her "come back into my arms".

However, reports now claim that Durham Regional Police have confirmed the youngster was found safe and well, with her mum.

They added that there are currently no concerns for Oakland's safety.

O'Toole originally wrote: "My baby Oakland. I’m praying that whoever has you, is holding you.

"That whoever has taken you from me, is protecting you. That, whoever, has you, let’s you come back into my arms. I love you Oakland.

"I can’t wait to one day hold you again. My heart is broken. I am broken. To be clear, Oakland is alive, we think. But we don’t know. I have a one-month-old child, and I don’t know where she is."

Though in an update to his post, O'Toole added: "ATTN: My amazing ex-wife Corrie has NOTHING to do with this. Please leave her alone."

Oakland - the third daughter of O'Toole and Corrie, was born at the end of May.

According to ET Canada no Amber Alert had been issued for the missing child.
