Canadian heartthrob Shawn Mendes turned away from iconic Dublin pub for 'being too young'

Singing sensation Shawn Mendes was turned away from an iconic Irish pub for being too young.

The Canadian heartthrob ended up posing for some 3am selfies with fans in McDonald's instead.

The 20-year-old can be seen being turned away from Dublin pub Bruxelles because of their under 21s policy in a video posted online.

The Stitches singer has been spotted wandering around south Dublin last week as he rolled in for some electric 3Arena gigs, DublinLive reports.

Having pulled off a sterling performance Sunday, the 20-year-old decided to hit the town for the night before moving on with the tour.

The video shows Shawn standing outside chatting to the bouncer who apologetically told him he's just a tad under the bar's 21s policy.

Mendes is seen looking disappointed at the news but makes no fuss and tips along with his pals to the next spot.

He was later posing for pics with fans as he picked up a Happy Meal just after 3am.

It seems a lot of people have been mingling with the hearthrob as many others have been bumping into him in previous days.

In one video, he's seen taking a leisurely stroll up Grafton St with his Mam Karen taking in the lovely scenery.
