The Canadian dollar ended the day at 74.70 cents US, down 0.34 of a cent from Friday's close.

The U.S. dollar closed at C$1.3386, up 0.59 of a cent.

Pound sterling was C$1.6359, up 0.69 of a cent and US$1.2221, down 0.02 of a cent.

The Euro closed at C$1.4555, up 0.54 of a cent.
