Canada Goose and Central Saint Martins partner on a sustainably-led immersive exhibition

We interrupt your fashion week content to announce that luxe outdoor performance specialists, Canada Goose, have teamed up with Central Saint Martins this London Fashion Week to present an immersive exhibition focussed on the climate crisis. In line with the brand’s core message of keeping the planet cold whilst keeping its people warm, the exhibition aims to highlight the way in which we can tackle climate change through purpose driven design and creative action.

Enter the talented MA Fashion students at London’s Central Saint Martins, the next generation of change makers. The students were invited by Canada Goose to create a sustainably-led capsule collection inspired by the research from the Polar Bears International, a non-profit focussed on Polar bear conservation, to create design objects to support a circular economy. The exhibition is “a true source of inspiration and a ray of hope for the future. There is so much potential this generation have to offer, not only in terms of creative talent but also their unwavering commitment to join us in helping to transform the industry to tackle climate change and protect our planet.” states the brand’s Chief Marketing and Experience Officer, Penny Brook.

Taking place at the university’s Lethaby Gallery in Granary Square, over the course of London Fashion Week, the exhibition offers an unwavering approach to tackling the increasingly important issue of climate change. Now more than ever we need to address this situation with a sense of urgency. With sustainability at its core the pieces are practical but purposeful. Functional needs whilst also incorporating a sustainable design approach.
