Liverpool International Music Festival returns to Sefton Park today with a huge lineup across the weekend.

The festival will see huge headliner sets from Chic & Nile Rodgers and Disco Classical with Sister Sledge featuring Kathy Sledge take to the main stage - and more than 70 other performers too.

There are a range of items banned from the festival site this weekend, including umbrellas , animals (other than guide dogs), barbeques, fireworks, flares and glass bottles.

Guests are free to bring their own picnics and unopened soft drinks but no alcohol is allowed at the park unless purchased there.

Any alcoholic drinks brought to the festival will be confiscated on entry.

There are a host of food and drink stalls available on-site throughout the weekend.
