A select few shot-stoppers were handed the No 1 jersey for a number of seasons, racking up hundreds of appearances in all competitions. However, a couple of others were afforded less than a dozen appearances before leaving United.
Only 13 goalkeepers have been handed the opportunity to represent the Magpies since the launch of the Premier League almost 30 years ago.
