Can you help worried family of missing schoolgirl girl trace her?

Police are appealing for information to help trace a teenage girl who has gone missing from Kilbarchan.

PAISLEY DAILY EXPRESS: Live news as it happens


Tya Miller, 14, was last seen around 12.45am this morning near to Stepends Road in the village.


She is described as being around 5ft 9ins tall, of medium build with long brown hair.


When last seen, she was wearing a black jacket and black leggings, and was carrying a small black backpack.


Sergeant Ross Laughlan, of Renfrew police office, said: “Tya has been going through a tough time recently and we are concerned for her welfare.


“We want to make sure she is safe and would appeal to anyone in this area to look out for her.


“Tya also has connections to the Bargeddie area and to West Lothian.


“Tya, if you see this, we would also ask you to please get in touch with police to let us know that you are okay.”


Anyone with information on her whereabouts is asked to contact police on 101.
