Can we still play EuroMillions after Brexit?

Lottery players have questioned whether we will still be able to play EuroMillions after Brexit.

The EuroMillions draw takes place every Tuesday and Friday with a ticket costing £2.50.

Players in the UK have a chance to scoop millions of pounds.

One UK ticket-holder made history when they won the £170m EuroMillions jackpot to become the country's biggest ever winner.

The previous biggest UK winners were Colin and Chris Weir, from Largs in North Ayrshire, Scotland, who won £161million in July 2011.

But there is plenty of uncertainty as to how Brexit will affect EuroMillions and whether anyone in the UK will be able to win a similar amount again.

Can we still play EuroMillions after Brexit?

UK residents can still play EuroMillions after Brexit.

You do not need to live in an EU country to buy tickets.

Switzerland is not an EU member and has played EuroMillions since October 2004.

There is an agreement in place to run the game is between the UK National Lottery and the official lottery operators of the eight other participating countries.

Regardless of the nation’s political status people of the UK will be able to enter into the Euromillions draw.

You can still play in EuroMillions draw even if you're a UK expat living in another participating country.

If you are a UK citizen living in Austria, Belgium, France, Ireland, Luxembourg, Portugal, Spain or Switzerland, you can still buy tickets.
