'Can we never play in London again?' - Leeds United fans react to 3-1 defeat to Chelsea

Leeds United supporters have been reacting to their side's 3-1 defeat to Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.

The Whites took an early lead at Stamford Bridge when Patrick Bamford scored against one of his former clubs.

Bamford latched onto the end of a fine Kalvin Phillips through ball, before poking it around Edouard Mendy and tapping it into an empty net in front of 2,000 fans in west London.

However, the Blues started to find their way back into the game and almost equalised through Timo Werner - who effectively kept out his team-mate Olivier Giroud's header.

But Giroud did find the net before half-time, as the Frenchman poked the ball past Illan Meslier to level proceedings.

Then on the hour-mark, Kurt Zouma headed Chelsea into a 2-1 lead in the capital, after a Mason Mount corner.

Timo Werner's pass to Christian Pulisic, who put it past Meslier in stoppage time, topped off the game for the Blues - who ended up 3-1 winners.

Leeds certainly had spells at Stamford Bridge, and were hampered somewhat when Robin Koch was forced off after suffering an injury - with Diego Llorente replacing him on nine minutes.

In the first-half, it was fairly even, with both sides creating opportunities and the scoreline certainly suggested that.

However, Frank Lampard's side began to control the game in the second period - with his side showing their early season form as the game progressed.

Raphinha may have been disappointed not to have put the Whites ahead at 1-1, though, after firing over a good chance before Zouma put the Blues ahead.

Leeds fans have been reacting on Twitter to their side's unfortunate 2-1 defeat in London - which was their first loss since just under a month ago.

Up next for Marcelo Bielsa's side is West Ham United, who travel up to Elland Road on Friday evening, as the Whites look to bounce back from the Chelsea defeat.

The hectic Christmas schedule really starts to kick in for the Yorkshire club after that, with a home match versus Newcastle United on Wednesday, December 16 followed by a trip to Manchester United just four days later.
