'Can we get serious?' Arsenal fans fume at Unai Emery after team confirmed to face Everton

Arsenal's push for a top-four finish and the Champions League football that comes with it continues with a trip to Goodison Park to face Everton on Sunday.

A win for Unai Emery's side would lift the Gunners back to third in the standings, above arch-rivals Tottenham Hotspur, whereas anything other than victory would provide a boost to their top-four rivals - including Manchester United and Chelsea.

Therefore, fans expected to see the strongest side possible selected to face an Everton side who have been inconsistent this season but showed their ability by sweeping aside Chelsea prior to the international break, but that certainly wasn't the case.

Mohamed Elneny was a surprise selection in the heart of midfield alongside Matteo Guendouzi in a midfield pairing that looks extremely conservative, with Aaron Ramsey on the bench alongside Denis Suarez, while Granit Xhaka is injured and Lucas Torreira is suspended.

It did not take long for fans to share their thoughts on the selection and we have gathered some of their comments below.
