Can the Vikings keep Mitch Trubisky from running?

There has been a lot of talk about Mitch Trubisky this season.

And mostly not-so-good talk.

Can he throw to the left side of the field? What if the Bears wouldn’t have traded up for Trubisky and instead taken Patrick Mahomes or Deshaun Watson?

Vikings fans, though, have no reason to talk negatively about Trubisky.

Trubisky was 2-0 against the Vikings last season, including a Week 17 win that kept the Vikings out of the postseason.

In those two games, it was mostly the defense that won the game for Chicago. But Trubisky held his own. While he never threw for more than 165 yards in either game, he did run 13 times for 69 yards in the two contests, averaging 5.3 yards per carry.

Running is something Trubisky hasn’t done much of this season, gaining just 21 yards on five attempts, but you have to wonder if he will more in Week 4 considering his past success against the Vikings, who failed to put a spy on him.

There isn’t much question if the Vikings can stop Trubisky from having a big day in the air. The question is whether or not they can keep him from having a big day on the ground.
