Can the Eat Out to Help Out discount be used on Bank Holiday Monday?

This month diners have been given a good incentive to get back out and enjoy restaurant meals once again.

The Eat Out to Help Out scheme has offered those opting to eat out up to 50 per cent off their meals at participating restaurants from Monday to Wednesday throughout August.

And the offer was certainly tempting as more than 64 million meals were claimed in the first three weeks.

However, all good things must come to an end.

Bank holiday Monday also marks the end of the month and the government's scheme is set to be wrapped up on August 31.

So that means you have just one day left to make the most out of the deal.

Despite call for an extension due to the success, a statement from the Treasury  suggests there'll be no further support for the scheme after the bank holiday.

But, that may not quite be the end of it as Manchester restaurants have announced they'll be offering the same deal at their own expense next month.

And it's not just Manchester either as many popular restaurants and chains have taken the decision to continue offering a 50 per cent off discount to people who dine in from Monday to Wednesday.

If, however, you are looking to be spending more time in the comfort of your own home after a few weeks of eating out, Deliveroo has decided to launch its own Eat In to Help out discount for September.
