Tottenham Hotspur supporters have taken to social media and reacted to a possible injury update from Sergio Reguilon.
The 24-year-old has not featured for Spurs since the 3-1 win over Sheffield United a month ago because of a muscle injury in his right leg, leaving Ben Davies as the only natural left-back option for Jose Mourinho.
But, as revealed by the Tottenham head coach ahead of the trip to Manchester City, the Spain international is closing in on a return.
"Serge Aurier, maybe he can play, I don’t know. We still have one more training session to see. Sergio Reguilon, no chance. Gio Lo Celso, no chance," Mourinho told the club's website. "I would say Reguilon has a chance to play Europa League next week."
Reguilon's imminent return will be a massive boost for Mourinho after he explained what having the left-back - as well as Giovani Lo Celso - available for selection - will mean.
"Another situation is to have players back and by having players back you are able to do a little bit more of rotation when you have for example Reguilon back you have Reguilon and Ben Davies, you have Gio Lo Celso back," he said after the 3-0 loss against Man City.
"Gio Lo Celso gives you situations in relations to Tanguy, in relation to Hojbjerg and also solutions and some of the other guys I hope they can also come to a better level, a better level that allows them to play and when they are ready to play, when they are ready to start matches then you have more players to rotate,"
"Of course it is important to have that availability in the squad."
And it would appear Mourinho is set to be handed a major injury boost ahead of games against Wolfsberger AC and West Ham United this week.
As spotted by some Spurs fans on Reddit, Reguilon has issued a two-word injury update on his official TikTok account.
A post reads: "This week..." with a video of him action alongside his teammates.
This has prompted a number of supporters to get rather excited about the return of the Spaniard.
