'Can’t understand' - Nottingham Forest fans debate striker conundrum ahead of West Brom showdown

Nottingham Forest fans have been debating whether Tyler Walker should feature in this weekend’s Sky Bet Championship clash.

The Reds take on West Bromwich Albion at The Hawthorns on Saturday, with both clubs keen to get all three points to stengthen their respective promotion bids.

Sabri Lamouchi’s side are currently in fifth place in the Championship table, two points adrift of the automatic promotion places.

Albion are top of the table and six points clear of second-placed Leeds United following their win over Reading in midweek.

Striker Lewis Grabban faces a “big test” to prove his fitness for the match, after a knee injury kept him out of Tuesday night’s defeat to Charlton Athletic.

Tyler Walker took Grabban’s place as the main striker, but failed to make his mark on the contest after netting his side’s second goal during the win over Leeds the previous weekend.

Given Grabban’s fitness issues, Walker could be given another chance to lead the line for Forest this weekend.

Reds fans have been debating whether Walker should be awarded another opportunity, or if Lamouchi should go with a different option.

Here is a selection of what they had to say.

Gary Marriott: “No, looked out of his depth and a little lightweight, if Grabban fit he plays. Otherwise I would give Mighten a chance, looked ok at the bridge.”

Simon Topps: “Off the bench yes. It’s a big big game this weekend and Grabs is proven.”

Philip Tomlinson: “Hardly had a kick. A good bench player only at this stage.”

Simon Chambers: “Tell him to watch the desire that Lyle Taylor put in on Tuesday and if he’s interested give him another go. That should be minimum requirements.”

Matt Wyles: “Yes, gamble and go two up top! Push them back and see what happens! Stop the two holding midfielders and go 4-4-2.”

Neil Power-hull: “I can’t understand why we always play with only one up front. He might play better if he was alongside Grabban.”

John Dove: “Not yet missed two good chances Tuesday needs a bit more time at this level and must get stronger but give him time.”

Wayne Hewes: “Give Tyler Walker a chance looked ok to me Grabban’s missed some sitters this season Tyler's chances have all hit the target.”
