In a season packed of of twists and turns, Leeds United fans had to suffer another rollercoaster ride .
Prior to kick-off, Leeds had dropped down to third in the Championship on goal difference following Sheffield United's 2-0 win against Nottingham Forest earlier on Good Friday.
And when Pablo Hernandez slammed a 17th minute penalty into the post, fans could have been forgiven for fearing the worst.
But a sensational Patrick Bamford goal put Leeds back in the ascendancy, just three minutes later.
The Leeds stiker did well to bring the ball down before firing home, with fans and pundits alike heaping praise on the forward in the aftermath.
It's safe to say Leeds United fans were loving Bamford's finish, while former manager Simon Grayson also praised the 25-year-old.
Grayson added that it was key for Leeds to score soon after Pablo Hernandez missed a penalty following a red card for Wigan's Cédric Kipré.
"His first touch is top-drawer. It's a fantastic goal from Patrick Bamford. To get the goal so quickly after the penalty miss is so important."
But Leeds, playing against ten men after Cedric Kipre was red carded for the handball in the box that saw the penalty awarded could not make their advantage count and were caught out in the final minute of the first-half when Gavin Massey got on the end of a long ball and fired the Latics level.
