'Can't lose out!' - Nottingham Forest fans want to beat Derby County to this January transfer

Nottingham Forest fans have been reacting to reported interest in Billy Sharp from rivals Derby County.

Forest 's East Midlands foes have been linked with a move for the Sheffield United striker by The Sun this morning.

Earlier this week it was reported that Forest, as well as Celtic, were keen on a move for the veteran frontman but he had turned down a move away from Bramall Lane .

It was said that he wants to fight for his place in the Premier League side's starting lineup having fired the club to promotion with 23 goals.

He is currently behind summer signings Callum Robinson, Oli McBurnie and Lys Mousset in the pecking order with David McGoldrick also preferred by Chris Wilder too.

And Forest supporters have had their say on the Rams' interest in the former City Ground marksman.

Here's the pick of the reaction on social media...

John Brodie : We can’t lose out to Derby!

Gary Tucker : Why would he go to Tin pot derby

Neil Broome : His manager doesn’t want him to go

John Rush : Gary Tucker why would anyone?

Chris Phelan : Just get someone in to help Lewis up front, not gonna get anywhere with just one striker especially if he gets injured.sharpe/Murray or vidra, would do me,and nick powell as goalscoring midfielder

@ Camclarky : If sharp is available, we'd be daft not to give him another try #nffc

@ RichWest74 : Thought he’d already turned our offer down
