Can Raiders OG Kelechi Osemele bounce back in 2019?

Over the last few days, we have looked at the state of the Raiders’ offensive line, specifically Gabe Jackson and Rodney Hudson. Today, we are looking at Kelechi Osemele, who had arguably the worst season of his career in 2018.

According to Pro Football Focus, Osemele had a passing blocking efficiency of 97.6, was his lowest figure since 2013. He dealt with injuries for most of the season, and his play suffered. Per Pro Football Focus, Osemele finished the season with an overall grade of 53.7, a significant drop from his 2017 season.

As long as Osemele can get healthy and can stay at guard (he was forced to play tackle some last season due to injuries), it wouldn’t be a surprise to see him bounce back. Osemele is simply one of the best guards in the league and should get back to that level once again in his eighth season, provided he is healthy.
