Can Libya's new government end the chaos?

Can Libya's new government end the chaos?

Members of Libya's new Presidential Council arrived in Tripoli last week, after a UN brokered deal to bring the various factions together.

Libya descended into civil war in 2014, when two rival administrations, one in Tripoli and the other in the eastern city of Tobruk, began fighting for control.

Western nations believe the new government has the best chance of restoring security and uniting the country.

But is it up to the challenges ahead?

Presenter: Sami Zeidan

Guests:

Guma El Gamaty - Head of Libya's Taghyeer Party

Karim Mezran - Senior Fellow at the Rafik Hariri Center for the Middle East at the Atlantic Council

Mattia Toaldo - Senior Policy Fellow at the European Council on Foreign Relations
