England is back in a full national lockdown with many businesses and schools forced to close.
The lockdown is expected to last until the middle of February at the earliest, with Cabinet Minister Michael Gove warning it could be in place until March.
This third lockdown is similar to the original lockdown, but there are some changes, with some businesses allowed to remain open this time, that weren't back in March.
Businesses providing essential goods and services can stay open, this includes places like supermarkets, banks and dentists.
It also includes petrol stations, automatic (but not manual) car washes, vehicle repair and MOT services, bicycle shops, and taxi and vehicle hire businesses.
Many garages learnt from the original lockdown and have now made their workplaces "covid-secure" meaning they should remain open for vehicle repairs and MOTs.
The guidance says that people will be able to leave their home to get an MOT, it says: "The majority of public services will continue and you will be able to leave home to visit them.
"These include getting an MOT, if you need to drive when lawfully leaving home."

But car showrooms will have to shut under the lockdown rules, with the GOV.uk website stating: "These closures include, but are not limited to, the following premises car and other vehicle showrooms and other premises, including outdoor areas, used for the sale or hire of caravans, boats or any vehicle which can be propelled by mechanical means.
"However taxi or vehicle hire businesses can continue. For example a customer could order a rental vehicle online and collect it in person."
This means that dealerships will be forced to close to those wanting to buy a car, but their servicing departments can remain open.
However some garages may decide it's not profitable for them to just keep their servicing department open, so it's best to check with your individual garage that they're open if they're part of a wider dealership.
