Finally, succour comes to Madonna who, I think we can all agree, is having a really bad week. Dissed by the Sun's showbiz editor on GMTV, still stuck on some tour distastefully called "Sticky and Sweet", and then there's some divorce-type thing. But friendly advice comes from her bezzie, Gwyneth Paltrow, and her weekly newsletter for the previously discussed website, goop.com.
This week, Gwyneth is worried about a friend "who sees the world in a pessimistic light. This person is highly suspicious of people and situations ... What can be done?"
Several of Gwyneth's gurus offer solutions, including, of course, Mr Rent-a-Guru himself, Deepak Chopra. His advice does not start promisingly - Chopra-isms about the self being a steamship or some other such crap - before concluding that Gwyneth's friend's problems are "ego-based". Who needs Judge Judy when Gwyneth's got Deepak?
