Can Brickswich Be Unlocked in Skate?

Sitting free in Skate is nearly impossible thanks to the relentless flow of action. Once you boot up the game, it throws trick after trick at you, making even the tutorial feel like a precious challenge to get through. However, the real deal starts when you make your way to San Vansterdam, a fictional city that serves as a skater’s paradise.

It’s a big hub, and EA has divided it into different neighborhoods, each with its own vibe. From Hedgemont to Gullcrest and all the way to Market Mile, players have loads of fun as they unlock and explore every single district available in Skate. However, one neighborhood that’s been on everyone’s radar lately is Brickswich.

A lot of time has passed since the release, to the point that most of us have already nailed every achievement and trophy in the game — yet Brickswich is still under construction. Today, let’s discuss this district and its unlocking process.

What Does Under Construction Mean?

What most of us forget while performing flashy tricks around San Vansterdam is that the game is still in early access. We are not saying that once the early access period ends, Skate will lose its free-to-play status, but it will surely qualify as a finished product.

The “under construction” label on the Brickswich district doesn’t mean it’s literally under construction; it is just EA saying “more content soon” creatively. Once the developers finalize everything they have planned for the game, including Brickwich, Skate’s full version will drop as an update.

Can You Actually Unlock Brickswich?

The straight answer to this FAQ is No. Brickswich can’t be unlocked in Skate, at least not currently. As mentioned before, the game is in early access. Once it becomes a finished title, this district will most likely unlock in a future update.

However, it’s not like you can’t access Brickswich. While the area is yet to be finished and doesn’t allow you to fast travel or complete quests, skating inside and exploring is still possible. Until the update drops, make sure to visit this area — whether alone or with friends — and learn your way around it beforehand.
