CAMPAIGNERS have staged a huge protest near Donald Trump's Turnberry golf course.
On Wednesday, Greenpeace UK revealed a large sand artwork on the beach outside Trump's golf course in South Ayrshire.
It comes weeks after the golf course was targeted by pro-Palestine activists over the US president's position on Gaza.
The 55m by 40m artwork, which was completed overnight on Tuesday, is a giant portrait of the US president raked into the sands alongside the words: "Time to resist – fight the billionaire takeover."

Greenpeace UK said they took action to mark Trump's first 100 days in office, during which time the US president has left the Paris Climate Agreement and pledged to boost coal, oil and gas by weakening regulations for the fossil fuel industry.
Areeba Hamid, co-executive director of Greenpeace UK, said: "During his first 100 days President Trump has been actively working to dismantle and weaken environmental protections and attack those who fight to protect nature and our shared climate, putting the corporate profits of his billionaire friends ahead of people and the planet.
"It’s time to resist the billionaire takeover of our rights and freedoms.

"No one voted for these corporate bullies to end free speech, but they will stop at nothing to keep their oil and gas empire alive – even weaponising the legal system to crush dissent and silence environmental activism."
It is not the first time Greenpeace UK have staged a protest at Turnberry. When Trump visited the course in 2018, the group sent a paraglider over the course with a banner saying "Trump: well below par."
More recently, Trump's Turnberry golf course was the site of a pro-Palestine protest in March, when members of the group Palestine Action dug up the greens and spray painted the words "Gaza is not for sale" across the lawn of the course.

Since the protest took place last month, Trump has called for the 2028 Open championship to be hosted at Turnberry, which Whitehall officials are said to be pushing with bosses.
The Prime Minister's official spokesperson did not deny that officials had spoken to organisers for the 2028 tournament, but insisted that it was not a decision for the Government.
