Disney’s actually doing it — filming for Camp Rock 3 started this week in Vancouver, which might make a whole generation start humming “This Is Me” without warning.
According to Disney’s September 17 announcement, Joe, Nick and Kevin Jonas really are back as Connect 3, executive producing the movie and picking up their musical hairbrushes for one last (maybe) jam.
That’s right: The Jonas Brothers are returning to camp, roughly a decade since their last Final Jam in 2010, with a new cohort of campers hoping not to trip over Demi Lovato’s shadow.

Who is cast in Camp Rock 3
Keeping it nostalgic while shoving a heap of fresh faces front and centre, here’s who Disney confirmed will be gracing the mess hall:
The returning cast includes Joe Jonas as Shane Gray, Nick Jonas as Nate Gray and Kevin Jonas as Jason Gray, all still clinging to their questionable hair choices.

Maria Canals-Barrera is back as Connie Torres, and joining the familiar faces are new campers: Liamani Segura as Sage, Hudson Stone as Desi, Lumi Pollack as Rosie, Malachi Barton as Fletch, Casey Trotter as Cliff, Brooklynn Pitts as Callie, Ava Jean as Madison and Sherry Cola as Lark.
And yes, Demi Lovato is involved — just not necessarily singing “This Is Me” in the cafeteria. Instead, she’s exec producing with the boys, pulling strings behind the scenes while teasing her involvement with “you’ll just have to wait and see”, as coyly delivered to Andy Cohen’s Watch What Happens Live.
Disney hasn’t officially confirmed if Demi will pull the Mitchie Torres boots back on, but she’s not out of the musical loop either — having joined the Jonas lads for a surprise reunion gig last month.
What will Camp Rock 3 be about?
The plot follows Connect 3 after they lose their opening act for a massive reunion tour and, mid-panic, decide to give someone less famous a shot (angels) by launching a contest at Camp Rock — the place where dreams, heartbreak and people breaking out in song at any moment co-exist.
New campers, aka a bunch of teenagers, are thrown into the deep end to save a world-famous band from failing.
It’s giving major Camp Rock 1 energy and I am sat!

When will Camp Rock 3 be released?
There’s no locked-in release date yet. All Disney has said is that filming kicked off in Vancouver this week on September 17.
How to watch Camp Rock 3?
Camp Rock 3 will drop on Disney Channel and Disney+. If you can’t wait for the new movie, you can always relive the magic of Demi with a fringe and Joe’s Disney knees by watching Camp Rock 1 and 2 on Disney+ now.
Okay now let’s do Princess Protection 2 please!
