Cammy Palmer hails consistency levels of Linfield role model

Cammy Palmer hailed Jamie Mulgrew as a "great role model" and praised his consistency levels after the Linfield captain reached 700 appearances for the club.

Mulgrew reached the special milestone in the 4-0 win over Dungannon Swifts last Saturday.

Palmer is full of admiration for his skipper and as a central midfielder is keen to emulate Mulgrew's consistency throughout the years.

"He's been incredible," said Palmer.

"I've only seen him the last three years but just the way he carries himself and the consistency is amazing.

"Keeping consistency is tough for us young guys never mind when you're 36 or 37.

"He's a great role model for all of us, especially for myself as a midfielder.

"Those levels of consistency are something I want to bring to my game.

"He's certainly not slowing down, and more than that in fact he has been one of the best performers of late.

"He continues to hit the heights and is well on his way to 1,000 games!"
