Cammy Devlin says Jamie Walker is no stranger to a big-headed gloat about his 53-goal tally for Hearts.
But the Australian begrudgingly admits his teammate, along with Aaron McEneff, has every right to - as he's one of the best trainers at the club.
Walker has barely had a look-in for Hearts so far this season with Robbie Neilson 's new recruits pushing him further down the pecking order.
Devlin has made an impression since arriving, and so too have Beni Baningime and Ben Woodburn who have become first-team regulars.
The Jambos' summer business has resulted in one of the strongest Hearts squad for years and they are the only side yet to lose in the league - leading to rumblings of a title challenge from Tynecastle.
And Devlin, who arrived from Newcastle Jets in the summer, admits it's the best squad he's ever been a part of.
And that's because the likes of Walker and McEneff, who aren't getting into the starting XI, are the best in training.
He said via the Edinburgh Evening News : “I do actually feel really good and I think that’s the same for all the boys. The squad depth in this team is the best I’ve ever been a part of.
“The guys sitting in the stand could come in and be one of the best on the park. Aaron McEneff and Jamie Walker are two of the best players in training. Jamie has scored 53 goals for Hearts and Aaron McEneff scored at Celtic earlier in the season.
“Whoever plays in these next two games will want to do a great job. I want to play every single game. If I start on Wednesday and again on Saturday, I’ll be buzzing and ready to go.”
However he admits he only knows that figure because Walker won't let him forget it.
He continued: “It’s not my knowledge, it’s him telling me every day!”
