Cammy Devlin insists the Edinburgh derby will be the perfect way to get started at Hearts.
The midfielder finally completed his move to the club on deadline day and he can't wait to get going at a packed Tynecastle.
The Australian will train with his new teammates throughout the international break and could make his debut against Hibs, and he can't wait to do that.
He said: “It’s a perfect way to get started. The international break lets me gel with the boys. I just have to work hard to get on the field and if I’m lucky enough to do that on September 12 I will be over the moon.
“A packed Tynecastle sounds insane!”
Ryan McGowan is a legend at Hearts and Devlin has revealed he took his advice when he joined the club.
McGowan played alongside Devlin at Sydney FC and admits he felt he had no choice but to join when Robbie Neilson came in for him.
He added: “I got in touch with Ryan as soon as I found out. He is a bit of a Hearts legend and hopefully I can follow in similar footsteps.
“He said I had to jump at the opportunity. He has helped me settle in from afar.
“As soon as we found out about Hearts interest we signed up to all the platforms. I have watched every game we have played so far this season to get a taste of what it’s like. The boys have had an amazing start.
“It’s a dream come true to sign for such a big club.”
