Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall out of self-isolation after Prince Charles recovers from coronavirus

Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall, is out of self-isolation, Clarence House confirmed to The Independent.

The duchess self-isolated for 14 days after it was revealed that the Prince of Wales had been diagnosed with the coronavirus.

Last week, it was reported that Prince Charles had come out of self-isolation after testing positive for the virus.

Camilla tested negative for the disease.

A week ago, a spokesperson for Prince Charles released an update on the 71-year-old’s health, stating: “Clarence House has confirmed today that, having consulted with his doctor, The Prince of Wales is now out of self-isolation”.

The heir apparent was in isolation for a total of seven days and is now said to be in “good health” and “operating under the current standard government and medical restrictions that apply nationwide”.

Before coming out of self-isolation, Camilla and Prince Charles had both been staying at the Scottish estate Birkhall in Aberdeenshire.

They are due to celebrate their 15th wedding anniversary on Thursday 9 April.

The royal couple were wed in a civil ceremony at Windsor Guildhall in 2005.

Last week, the Prince of Wales opened the NHS Nightingale Hospital in east London via video link.
