Cameron Wake's run with the Miami Dolphins is officially over.
Wake, a five-time Pro Bowl selection who has played 10 seasons with the Dolphins, is expected to sign a new deal with the Tennessee Titans on Wednesday.
Wake's new deal will be for three years and $23 million, with $10 million guaranteed, according to a league source.
Wake, who turned 37 years old in January, was an unrestricted free agent not expected to be retained by the Dolphins this offseason.
Instead of re-signing Wake for an 11th season in Miami, the Dolphins are moving forward in their plans to rebuild their roster with younger, cheaper talent in hopes of developing into a competitor for years to come.
Wake played in 14 games last season, missing only two games to nurse a reported meniscus injury in his knee. He recorded 36 tackles, 17 quarterback hits, six sacks, five tackles for loss and a pass deflection, while earning $8,125,000 last season.
Wake has 98 career sacks in the NFL since joining the Dolphins in 2009 as a former standout for the B.C. Lions in the Canadian Football League.
