Cameron Jordan travels to South Korea to join USO Tour

New Orleans Saints defensive end Cameron Jordan will travel to South Korea to join a USO Tour this week, the team announced Tuesday. Jordan will join three other NFL players as they visit American service members overseas: Chicago Bears quarterback Chase Daniel, Jacksonville Jaguars linebacker Myles Jack, and New England Patriots kicker Stephen Gostkowski.

Jordan is just the latest Saints player to tour American military facilities and meet troops abroad. Former Saints running back Mark Ingram spent a week in Europe last year touring American military bases and volunteering for a K-9 training exercise. Quarterback Drew Brees has participated in numerous USO Tours throughout his NFL career, meeting service members everywhere from Guantanamo Bay, Cuba to Iraq, Kuwait, the United Arab Emirates, Afghanistan, and Japan. It’s almost something of an unofficial team tradition.

Alan Reyes, USO Chief Operating Officer, commented on Jordan’s upcoming visit overseas: “The USO and the NFL have a rich history of partnering together to support America’s men and women in uniform. We’re honored to team up once again to bring current NFL players overseas to meet service members and their families. This tour is just one of many ways the USO and the NFL work together to salute and honor those who protect and defend our freedoms. We thank the NFL for their continued dedication as a Force Behind the Forces.”
