Cameron Jordan ranks No. 41 in NFL Network’s Top 100

It’s been a great summer for New Orleans Saints defensive end Cameorn Jordan, who signed a contract extension keeping him in town through 2023 in-between a USO Tour to South Korea and a weekend in Las Vegas spent training with Von Miller. On Saturday, Jordan was listed at No. 41 in this year’s Top 100 from NFL Network.

“There is nobody that can switch up a move quite like he can,” said Chicago Bears defensive tackle Akiem Hicks, who played alongside Jordan with the Saints from 2012 to 2015. “If you block him the first time you’re not going to block him the second time.”

Jordan has built a reputation as one of the league’s premier power rushers, overwhelming his opponents with a combination of strength and fine-tuned techniques to get after quarterbacks and draw a holding penalty along the way. Per Pro Football Focus, he ranks second in the NFL since 2016 with 239 combined quarterback sacks, hits, and other pressures.

“The way that he moves is uncanny at that position, at that height and at that weight,” Hicks said of the 6-foot-4, 287-pounder. “And I think that has a lot to do just with how he’s built mentally, he’s just ‘on’ at all times.”

And respect for Jordan’s abilities continues on to the other side of the football. Los Angeles Rams left tackle Andrew Whitworth added, “You can tell it means something to him to be out there proving to guys ‘there’s a certain way that we have to play.'”
